About Us
The Full Story
Our founder often tells the story of how she "Failed her way to success." The computer science subjects were often presented in a way that made comprehension for her unnecessarily difficult. When she would finally grasp a concept she would exclaim "all you had to say was ..." and reference something that she was culturally familiar with.
It was like a funny episode of the old Sanford and Son sitcom, where the Caucasian police officer "Hoppy" would try to explain something using language and references that were unfamiliar to the African American cast. His side-kick and fellow police officer "Smitty" who was an African American would explain the very same thing in a much more down to earth "culturally relative" way and the cast would immediately recognized was he was talking about.

We aim to present subjects in computer science, cybersecurity, and technology by adding non-traditions tools such as dance, poetry and other artforms that creates engagement, comprehension, participation and empowerment for students of all ages.
